I'm in the midst of trying to remodel our whole house a little bit at a time. My wife has started calling me the moron because I don't seem to know what I don't know until it's too late. So I'm asking this question before I start on the plans for the bathrooms. I read some stuff abotu tax credits for buying energy efficient appliances and such. I'm trying to plan a big fancy bathroom as a gift for my wife. I know I need to hire a contractor for some of the work, but the question is about money. If I use all energy-efficient lights, water heater, other electrical stuff and put in new windows and water-saver shower, tub and sinks, does that make my remodel qualify for one of thosw low-interest loans for upgrading the bathroom? Does it matter how much of the cost will be for energy and water saver equipment?
Thanks
The Moron
