Hello.

I live in Tennessee and I bought a young weeping willow tree to put in my yard. I figured it would make a good shade tree for my deck.

I know how deep to plant it, and all of taht. I know how to take care of it.

A friend told me not to plant it close to the corner of the house. He said the roots would force their way through the foundation and the bricks. He said if I plant it too close, I could cause the corner of the house to crumble.

Is that true? Please help me here. It will soon be time to plant it in the ground.

Thanks.
Wesley
